A Belleville teen among three youths charged in connection with several suspicious fires this week in the Napanee area.
On Monday, just before 6:00 a.m., officers responded to the Napanee Fairgrounds for reports that a portapotty and garbage can had been set on fire.
Then, around 8:15 a.m., officers attended a school on Belleville Road for reports of another suspicious fire that had damaged a newly installed rubber track.
During the early morning on Wednesday police attended Springside Park Trail after a portapotty was set on fire.
They returned late in the morning for another fire inside a bathroom at the same location.
The three suspects were located and charged on Thursday.
A 17 year old, of Belleville, was arrested and charged with:
Arson – Damage to property – three counts
Fraud
Theft over $5000
Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
A 15 year old, of Greater Napanee, was arrested and charged with:
Arson – Damage to property – three counts
A 13 year old, of Greater Napanee, was arrested and charged with:
Arson – Damage to property – three counts
Fraud
Theft over $5000
All three accused were released on an undertaking and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on a later date.
