During the long weekend, police made an arrest regarding an impaired driver at a South Algonquin campground.
As a result of the investigation, 18-year-old Aiden Lucas Cournyea of South Algonquin Township was arrested and charged with a number of offences, including impaired operation of a conveyance.
The accused was released from custody, and is scheduled to appear in court on July 12.
The charges are as follows:
- Impaired Operation of a Conveyance,
- Operating a Conveyance While Having Over 80 mgs of Alcohol per 100 ml of Blood, and
- Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance
The accused was released from custody, and is scheduled to appear in court on July 12, in Pembroke.
The accused’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was towed and impounded.
