It’s shaping up to be a very hot week with temperatures rising above 30 degrees at times. The humidity will make it feel much warmer, from 38 to 42 degrees.
In response, the City of Quinte West has opened its cooling centre at the Duncan McDonald Community Gardens in Trenton.
The cooling centre will be open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Splash pads are also open daily.
