Part of Belleville’s Victoria Harbour had to be cordoned off by police late Sunday morning after a large boat began taking on water and sinking.
Belleville police and firefighters along with public works staff responded. The fire department reports about 10 gallons of fuel was spilled and that had to be contained.
A crane was called in and hauled the boat out of the water.
Both the Ministry of Environment and the Department and Fisheries were contacted.
No one was injured.
