Several recent donations have allowed the Sea Cadets to fill some urgent needs at their Belleville location.
A City of Belleville Social Infrastructure Grant of $10,000 allowed the Sea Cadets to repair their back balcony, which had become unsafe and was a critical fire escape route from the building.
The Sea Cadets also received a $2,500 Arts & Culture Grant from the city to purchase new band equipment.
Recent personal donations have also funded the purchase of a new inflatable safety boat and motor, to ensure safety of the cadets while out on the water.
