Two people have been rescued on Lake Ontario by a coast guard ship.
The pair, found floating on the surface of the lake wearing life jackets, were picked up by the Canadian Coast Guard vessel Cape Rescue, after their own vessel began sinking.
The Trenton Joint Rescue Coordination Centre says that a Cobourg Fire boat and a Royal Canadian Air Force Griffon helicopter were also called in to help.
The pair were safely transported to shore.
