The provincial government is looking at how best to upgrade one of the busiest intersections in Prince Edward County.
The Ministry of Transportation has begun an environmental assessment of the intersection of Highway 62 and County Road 1 with an eye to making it safer for drivers.
Safety and collision data show heavy traffic volumes at Hwy 62 and County Road 1 during the county’s tourist season from May until October.
Most collisions involve left turns and most involve personal injury.
The Ministry is considering two options, traffic signals with left turn lanes or a roundabout.
