Prince Edward County is adopting a new mobile app for paid parking in Picton as well as at boat launches.
The County is replacing the MacKay payment app with the Passport Parking app.
The following was provided on how to use the app:
Using the app, enter the zone number – 3221 for on-street parking in Picton or 3222 for the Market Lane parking lot in Picton – followed by your vehicle information and length of stay. If using the app to pay for parking at a municipal boat launch, the zone number is posted on signs at the launch. You can also find the zone number for each launch on the County website.
- Payment is required along streets in Picton’s downtown core and in the Market Lane parking lot. A two-hour maximum for street parking is in effect. The time limit does not apply to parking spaces in Market Lane.
- Pay and Display parking stations are conveniently located approximately 20 metres apart. The machines accept coins, credit cards, and non-PIN debit cards. Payment instructions are posted on each parking station.
- Limited free parking in Picton is available in municipal lots at 55 King Street and on Mary Street.
