The Trenton Golden Hawks and Wellington Dukes will have new destinations to travel to next season.
The OJHL has added Niagara Falls as a new expansion team bringing league membership to 24 teams.
The Leamington Flyers were added in May.
Niagara Falls will be known as the Canucks. They will join the 12-team West Conference. Trenton and Wellington will play in the East.
In a press release, OJHL Commissioner Marty Savoy said, “The Niagara Region is a tremendous hockey community and the OJHL is extremely excited to be bringing Junior A hockey to the city of Niagara Falls. The ownership of Brandon Boone and Frank Pietrangelo expressed not only their desire to join the OJHL but more importantly their commitment to bring Junior A hockey to Niagara Falls.
The Canucks will play out of the Gale Centre which has a seating and standing capacity of almost 2,300.
