The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board has solidified its relationship with four partner communities.
Recently, Belleville, Brighton, Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte and Quinte West approved five-year Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with the Marketing Board, taking their partnership and funding one year into the next term of council.
Dug Stevenson, the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board’s executive director, says they asked the municipalities for a longer term-funding agreement during budget presentations to give the board increased stability and allow them to do stronger work to market the communities as a destination.
“We are excited to be building on the term length of our partnerships,” says Blair Gamble, chair of the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board. “These
longer-term agreements allow us the continuity to better strategize for long-term growth. We look forward to reaching similar understandings
with all of our partners in the beautiful Bay of Quinte region.”
Later in 2023, Bay of Quinte will enter similar discussions for a long-term partnership with Greater Napanee which currently has an MOU in
place through to March 2024.
Discussions will also occur with the Quinte Home Builders’ Association to help to cement the resident attraction aspect of the organization’s mandate.
