Two men plead guilty to charges on Wednesday related to an incident where a man was shot multiple times on Pine Street in Belleville back in September 2022.
24-year-old Quorde Brown pleaded guilty to attempted murder, possession of a firearm while prohibited and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
Brown was sentenced to 9 years in jail less 13.5 months credit for pre-trial custody. He was also sentenced with a DNA databanking order and lifetime weapons prohibition.
His co-accused, 24-year-old Nathaniel Mascoll, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a weapon while prohibited.
Mascoll was sentenced to 1 day in jail plus time served. He was also sentenced to probation, a lifetime weapon prohibition and to not associate with victims and witnesses.
The incident dates back to September 29, 2022 where it was alleged that Bowen entered the home on Pine Street and shot a man a number of times. The parties involved then fled the scene.
The sentencing judge was John Bonn of the Ontario Court and the Crown lawyer was Adam Zegouras.
