Quinte Wast Solutions has a new General Manager.
Former City of Belleville Councillor Bill Sandison is taking on the role.
The company says Sandison, who has a Masters of Business Administration from Queen’s University, will bring a wealth of practical knowledge while working towards its overarching goal of improving waste diversion for its nine member municipalities.
As a member of council, he sat as the Vice-Chair on the Centre and South Hastings Waste Services Board.
“Ontario communities are at an important juncture in the recycling domain as we transition to the provincially-driven Extended Producer Responsibility which shifts the responsibility for recycling and waste reduction closer to the source. We have a great team at Quinte Waste
