The Lennox and Addington (L&A) OPP located a missing eighty-eight-year-old male who has dementia, with the help of the OPP Automatic Licence Plate Reader (ALPR) System.
On June 3, 2023, at approximately 1 a.m., OPP members were on regular duty patrol on Hwy 401 in L&A County when they received a missing person hit on the ALPR system in their patrol vehicle.
The vehicle that received the missing person hit was located and eventually stopped just east of Odessa on Hwy 401. The elderly male had been missing from Mississauga for two days. The male was taken to L&A Hospital for observation and reunited with his family.
