Grade 10 Eastside Secondary School student Aiden Crawford captured three gold medals at the East Regional track and field championships in Ottawa.
Crawford finished first in junior Javelin, Shot Put and Discus giving him 23 wins in 23 events as he heads into this week’s Ontario High School Championships in Ottawa.
Forty–five athletes from East Northumberland Secondary School competed at the East Regional championships.
Two relay teams and three individuals in four events finished in the top four and earned spots to compete at OFSAA.
The senior boys’ 4 x 100 m relay team of Malcolm Whittle, Zaid Wedderburn–Harper, Brayden Clark, and Aidan Fairbank won the East Regional championship in a time of 43.85 s.
Zack Flatt was second in senior shot put (12.89 m) and fourth in discus (36.37 m).
Aidan Molenhuis finished third in senior high jump (1.80 m).
Jawin Jeyapirakas was third in novice boys’ 300 m hurdles (44.79 s).

Zack Flatt was second in senior shot put (12.89 m) and fourth in discus (36.37 m).

Jawin Jeyapirakas was third in novice boys’ 300 m hurdles (44.79 s).
The ENSS novice girls’ relay team – Kate Andrews, Azariyah Barnes, Phoebe Mooney, and Emma Corker finished third.
