A Canadian film crew is preparing for a week of filming in Belleville.
The film crew will be working from June 5 to 9. Filming will take place primarily on Bridge Street East between Front Street and Church Street, City Hall and Market Square, Glanmore National Historic Site and the Belleville Armouries.
Filming will occur at City Hall the afternoon of Tuesday, June 6 and residents are advised to visit alternative city facilities for service if possible during that time. Accessible parking on Market Street and McAnnany Street remain available on either side of City Hall.
“We look forward to watching our city transform next week,” said Mayor Neil Ellis. “We are so pleased the beauty and history of our city captured the imagination of the production company and that our local economy will benefit from this project.”
Between food and hotel accommodations, the filming is expected to generate $70,000 for local businesses.
