Charges have been laid against a Quebec resident, following a fraud investigation at a Trenton bank.
On October 18, Quinte West OPP responded to a financial institution on Dundas Street East.
The suspect attempted to open a fradulent bank account.
They left prior to police arrival.
On Wednesday this week police arrested Jeannot Gilbert.
Gilbert, 53 years old from Montreal, has been charged with:
- Fraud over $5,000
- Personation with intent
- Use forged document
- Possession of an identity document
- Fail to comply with release order
