Grade 12 students at St. Paul Catholic Secondary School in Trenton raised $9,400 during their Colour Run fundraising event on May 4.
Organized by the Recreation and Leadership class at St.Paul, the Colour Run is a five kilometre race where at each kilometre mark, runners are doused in a different colour of powder.
Proceeds from the event were donated to the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation with funding going towards the purchase of a new hospital bed.
“We are immensely grateful to St. Paul’s grade 12 Leadership Class and Mr. Hoogkamp for their extraordinary efforts in organizing the Colour Run,” Lindsay Butcher Dodds, Operations and Community Impact Specialist for TMH said in a release.
“Their unwavering dedication and compassion in supporting Trenton Memorial Hospital and raising funds for a new hospital bed have touched our hearts.”
