An incident at a motel near the Trenton Town Centre has now been cleared and an investigation is underway.
Police were called to a distress call just after 11 a.m. Thursday morning at the Motel Guest Inn beside the A&W at Bay and Dundas.
A number of armed officers had weapons drawn in what appeared to be a negotiation with someone inside.
Members of Quinte West OPP’s Tactical and Rescue Unit were also on scene.
There was no visual of a person being taken out of the room for the arrest.
No other details have been provided by police at this time.
