A man from northeast of Kingston faces several charges after reports he assaulted his mother in Picton.
Prince Edward County OPP responded around 9 o’clock Monday night to reports of a family dispute.
Police say the man not only assaulted his mother but it’s alleged he stole her vehicle and caused damage to her house.
The suspect, a 31-year-old from Yarker, had left the scene prior to the OPP’s arrival but officers learned the man was driving with alcohol in his system.
Along with assault, he was charged with impaired driving, mischief, and taking a motor vehicle without consent.
