Lennox and Addington OPP investigated four incidents involving alcohol over the long weekend.
On Saturday in the late afternoon, police responded to County Road 8 after a vehicle hit a tree. Thirty-one-year-old John Sweet of Deseronto was charged with impaired driving. No injuries were reported.
On Sunday night there was a collision between a motorbike and a car at Highway 49 and Belleville Road. The motorcycle driver was showing signs of impairment and sustained minor injuries. Charges have not been laid yet in that investigation.
Later Sunday night OPP stopped a vehicle that ran a red light at Centre Street and Jim Kimmett Boulevard in Napanee. Alexander Ciotti, 40 years of age, of Deseronto, was charged with impaired driving.
And Monday night, police stopped a vehicle doing almost twice the 80 kmh speed limit on Bath Road in Loyalist Township. Twenty-seven-year-old Mitchell Storey of Loyalist Township also faces an impaired driving charge.
