PECMHF receives over $913,000 in a legacy gift

The Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation has announced it has been named a beneficiary of a legacy gift from the Estate of Douglas Wynne Thomas.

PECMHF received $913,063.50.

The money will be used towards purchasing a Computerized Tomography (CT) Scanner.

On May 16 the Douglas Wynne Thomas Estate also announced three other organizations, the County Foundation, Hospice Prince Edward and the Picton United Church food bank, would be receiving financial gifts.

The estate’s donations to the four organizations totalled around $2 million.
