As they have done for 37 consecutive years, the East Northumberland Blue Dragons have won the Bay of Quinte Track and Field Championships.
And one could say, they ran away with it.
Dominc Rittwage led the way for ENSS winning the novice 100 m (12.92), 200 m (24.49), and 400 m (54.42).
Dominic anchored his 4 x 100 m relay team – including Chase Eddy, Jawin Jeyapiraks, and Jakob Karpets – to a
first place finish (50.51).
East Northumberland earned 958.5 points. The Bayside Red Devils were second with 407. St. Theresa Secondary finished third overall with 392.
Next up is the Central Ontario High School Track and Field Championships which will also be in Belleville next Thursday at the Bruce Faulds Track at Mary Ann Sills Park.
