A plot of land in Picton is being rezoned to develop a new subdivision on Talbot Street.
During a planning and development committee meeting on Wednesday, members of Prince Edward County council looked at a request to rezone a tract of land to develop a new subdivision. The request calls to change the area from Future Development zoning to Special Urban Residential Type 1 and Special Urban Residential Type 3.
The plans call for 58 residential units, with 15 single detached homes and 43 townhouse units across eight blocks. The entire property is three hectares.
The request was approved without debate, and sent on to council for final approval.
