Hospice Prince Edward is the latest recipient of a donation by 100 People Who Care Prince Edward County.
Dr. Kim Haigh nominated Hospice Prince Edward at the group’s April meeting, encouraging members to vote for Hospice Prince Edward because of the high-quality, compassionate care loved ones receive at their end of life.
100 People Who Care Quinte recently presented a cheque for $8,300 to Hospice Prince Edward.
Hospice Executive Director Sandy Barnes says the donation will go towards new flooring that is desperately needed in the residence.
It’s part of a larger refresh as the residence has recently received a donation of new furniture, and has been repainted.
Hospice Prince Edward has been offering palliative and end-of-life care to those living in Prince Edward County and the surrounding area for the last ten years, supporting more than 500 families.
100 People Who Care Prince Edward has been making quarterly donations to local charities since 2017.
