Details are very few but Prince Edward OPP are investigating an incident in which a 10-year-old was struck by what’s described as a “large animal.”
The child was taken to hospital by paramedics.
Police have given no indication what the large animal was, however according to The Kingstonist it was a bull.
The article states they talked with the child’s mother, who indicated the animal broke through a gate at a bull riding school.
Melissa Gerard says her child attempted to get out of the way in time, but was unable. Gerard describes the injuries as minor.
The incident occurred just after noon Sunday near County Road 49.
