Motorists can expect lane closures as work is resuming on Belleville’s Bridge Street bridge.
Both eastbound lanes of the bridge will be closed beginning May 15 as Vector Restoration Ltd. completes repairs.
Traffic will be diverted to the north side of the bridge.
There will be single lane closures prior to May 15 in preparation for the work.
The walkway beneath the bridge will also be closed during this time and pedestrians will be detoured through city parking lots to access the trail to the north and south.
Signage will be in place to advise of the detours.
Work is anticipated to be completed by the end of June.
