Northumberland OPP say an altercation may have lead to a fail-to-remain collision in Port Hope.
Police received information regarding a collision involving an SUV and a pickup truck around 10:20 p.m. on Sunday.
When officers arrived, they received information of an altercation between several males at a pond in the Zion Line Road area in Millbrook.
It’s alleged that the altercation continued when the people involved left in an SUV and a grey- or silver-coloured newer model pickup truck.
While travelling south on County Road 28 in the Port Hope area, north of County Road 9 by the Hamilton Township border, it’s alleged that the pickup truck struck the SUV, forcing it off the road and into a ditch.
The driver of the pickup truck then left the scene.
All those in the SUV suffered minor injuries.
Police say the pickup truck may have fresh front end damage because of the collision.
