Quinte Health has announced it’s easing some of its pandemic control measures effective Monday.
As part of the easing, staff, patients and attendees will be allowed to unmask in non-patient care areas.
This includes offices, hallways, washrooms, lobbies, cafeterias, meeting rooms and break rooms.
Masking will still continue at all clinical, patient-facing facilities at the hospital, including inpatient units when visiting patients in their rooms, emergency departments, clinics, waiting rooms and other areas that provide direct patient care.
Quinte Health says those who continue to decide to wear a mask will be supported and respected.
Masks will still be available at hospital entrances and entry points of patient care areas/waiting rooms.
