Belleville police responded to 86 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on April 20, 2023 to 5 a.m. on April 21, 2023.
Male Arrested for Disturbance
On April 20, 2023 at 9 p.m., Belleville police were called to the area of Farnham Road and Simcoe Street regarding a male who was laying in the middle of the road and screaming at cars. Officers arrived on scene and determined that the male was heavily intoxicated. The 33-year-old Belleville resident was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and was lodged in cells until sober.
Breach of Probation and Release Order
On April 20, 2023 at 8:30 p.m., Belleville police responded to a call at a John Street apartment building regarding an unwanted male inside a unit. Officers located the male and he was found to be on a release order with conditions not to be at the building and not to communicate with the occupant of the unit where he was located. The male was also found to be on two separate probation orders, both with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. As a result, the 24-year-old Belleville resident was arrested and charged with breach of probation x 2 and breach of a release order x 2. He was held for a bail hearing on April 21, 2023.
Impaired Driving
On April 21, 2023 at 1 a.m., a Belleville police officer on patrol stopped a vehicle on Dundas Street West. As a result of a police investigation, 36-year-old Cory Bisonette was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and drive over 80. He was released on an undertaking with a May 25 court date.
