Quinte West City Council has approved a resolution to adopt the terms of reference for the Quinte West Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee.
The terms of reference approved look to address the following:

- Committee structure
- Authority
- Agendas & minutes
- Terms of appointment
- Roles and responsibilities
- Communication and use of city branded logos
- Rules governing the proceedings of committee
As part of the mandate for the Quinte West Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee, it states that the committee will provide advice to city council related to equity, diversity and inclusion.
It also seeks to provide a forum for consultation, feedback and discussion on these matters and consider and recommend actions and propose policies to support the areas of the committee’s focus based on the Quinte West Strategic Plan.
