Quinte West City Council has directed staff to prepare and submit an application to the Housing Accelerator Fund.
The fund is a federal fund that is intended to accelerate the supply of housing and will be administered through the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
CMHC is expected to accept applications this summer.
City staff will develop a plan based on the criteria laid out by the CMHC with a draft for approval being brought back to council by the end of the second quarter of 2023.
