We broke a 78-year-old temperature record for April 13 in the Quinte area yesterday.
The temperature at CFB Trenton reached 24.8 degrees which topped the old mark of 23.9 set in 1945.
However, according to our meteorologist Kevin Williams the early heat wave won’t last.
“the next shot at showers will be later Sunday or more likely Sunday night. A cold front arriving will do that and usher in much chillier air in its wake early next week.”
It will be warm again today (Friday) but nowhere near the April 14 record of 26.7 set in 1968.
