Charges have now been laid in a fatal crash from October last year.
On Friday October 28 2022, emergency crews responded to a collision on Highway 62 at Old Hastings Road near Bannockburn in Madoc Township.
One of the drivers, a 23-year-old from Centre Hastings, was transported to hospital by ambulance, but was later pronounced dead.
The other driver was transported to the hospital with injuries.
On Wednesday this week, with the help of the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionists, officers charged 32-year-old Ian McMunn of Hastings Highland with criminal negligence causing death.
McMunn was held for a bail hearing.
