Belleville Police say emergency personnel were able to rescue a cyclist from the Moira River Thursday afternoon.
Crews were called to the downtown core around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
A report was received of a cyclist toppling over into the river along the elevated east shoreline path near the Dundas St. overpass.
Police were joined by members of the Belleville Fire Department to help rescue the male from the river.
The man was taken to hospital by EMS.
No information on the male’s condition is available at this time.
