The City of Belleville Homelessness Summit is set to take place at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre on April 13.
The event, run by the City of Belleville, Hastings County and the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness, will host local stakeholders and community partners.
It will consist of presentations from Hastings County and the Canadian Alliance of Homelessness, interviews with people who have experienced homelessness and a community panel discussion on what it takes to end homelessness.
Those taking part will then work on drafting aims and measures during a roundtable session.
Each partner will voice their concerns, thoughts and ideas to help set goals and targets for finding solutions to end homelessness.
The event begins in the gymnasium on Thursday at 9 a.m.
While the event is open for the public to attend and there will be a livestream on the City of Belleville’s YouTube channel, those who haven’t registered for the event will only be able to take part as a spectator.
The City of Belleville says an opportunity for public comment will be made through an online survey at a later date.
