Charges have been laid against an Ottawa man following a crash in Belleville early Tuesday morning.
Around 2 a.m., emergency crews responded to the intersection of College Street East and North Park Street.
The driver slammed into a pole and proceeded to flee the scene.
A witness provided a description of the man and officers located a suspect in a nearby yard.
