The Quinte area unemployment rate dropped in March when compared to February.
Statistics Canada reports that the rate for the Belleville Census Metropolitan Area, which includes
Belleville, Quinte West, Tyendinaga-Deseronto, and Stirling-Rawdon, was 5.1% last month.
In February the unemployment rate was pegged at 5.5%.
Meanwhile, the national unemployment rate held steady at 5% as did Ontario’s rate at 5.1%.
