The Quinte Trash Bash is making its return to the region.
The 23rd annual Quinte Trash Bash is set to take place on April 22 in Belleville, Prince Edward County, Quinte West and Tyendinaga Township.
Members of the community will take part in helping clean up roadsides, parks and other public spaces.
Supplies will be provided in advance and on the day of the event in each community.
“Quinte Trash Bash is a time for our communities to work together to clean up and preserve the natural beauty of our region,” said Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison in a release.
“Whether we clean up in groups or as individuals, every piece of litter collected has a positive impact in keeping our outdoor green spaces and public areas healthy and vibrant for all to enjoy.”
Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis encouraged residents to take part.
“By picking up litter from parks, sidewalks and other public spaces, you are directly improving the ecosystems in these areas and the overall health of our city. I would like to encourage all Belleville residents to join us in this great event and help make a difference.” Ellis said in the release.
