A man well known in Belleville and area has passed away.
Albert Lentini was the owner of the former Docter’s Hotel in the 1980s, a busy bar which featured
live bands and a popular lunchtime buffet.
Later he also owned the popular Matt and Joe’s Nightclub.
He was involved in other ventures in the city and served as an alderman on Belleville city council in the late 1970s.
He was born in Italy in 1946.
Albert Lentini died Monday at the age of 76 surrounded by friends and family.
