The Belleville Senators playoff hopes took a hit this weekend after dropping two out of three games.
The Toronto Marlies answered a 4-0 loss in Belleville Saturday night with a 6-2 win over the Senators Sunday afternoon.
The difference was the third period when the Marlies scored four unanswered goals.
Matt Wedman and Rourke Chartier scored for Belleville.
The Senators are three points behind Laval for the final AHL North Division playoff berth with five games left in the regular season.
The B-Sens play their final two home games of the regular season on Wednesday and Saturday against Cleveland.
The Monsters are tied with Belleville for sixth place but have two games in hand.
