With cold and flu season winding down and COVID numbers remaining stable, temporary clinics are winding down.
Last Fall, Ontario Health provided regions across Ontario with funding to operate temporary COVID, Cold and Flu Care Clinics with local clinics operating in Tweed, Belleville and Picton to ensure residents had access to after-hours primary care and to divert patients from local emergency departments.
The Hastings and Prince Edward Ontario Health Team says effective March 31, the COVID, Cold and Flu Care Clinics in Belleville at the Belleville Quinte West Community Health Centre and in Picton at the Prince Edward Family Health Team will close while the clinic at the Gateway Community Health Centre in Tweed will close April 27.
