Northumberland OPP charged the driver of a commercial vehicle with being impaired by drugs.
Late Monday afternoon, a concerned citizen reported a commercial motor vehicle that was unable to maintain its lane on the westbound Highway 401 in the Port Hope area.
The vehicle was quickly located by an officer conducting traffic enforcement in the area.
As a result of the investigation, 58-year-old Paul Foote of London was charged with the following offences: operation while impaired and dangerous operation.
The accused is to appear in court in Cobourg on April 19.
