A member of the Wellington Dukes’ 2018 Backlund Cup team is set to join the Belleville Senators on an amateur tryout offer.
The B-Sens announced on Wednesday that they have signed defenceman Ben Roger to an ATO.
Roger finished his season with the Kingston Frontenacs recording 13 points (2 goals, 11 assists) in 39 games for the team.
The Brighton native began his junior career with the Wellington Dukes including being a part of the 2018 Backlund Cup team.
Roger would go on to split his OHL career with the London Knights and the Kingston Frontenacs.
He was selected in the second round at 49th overall by the Ottawa Senators in the 2021 NHL Draft.
