Just over 1,000 fans packed “the Dunc” last night but they didn’t get what they showed up for.
Their Trenton Golden Hawks could not sweep a determined Toronto Jr. Canadiens out of the playoffs as Toronto
managed a 3 to 2 come from behind overtime win.
With their backs against the wall the Jr. Canadiens brought their best game and out shot the G Hawks 47 to 30.
Trenton could not hold a 2 nothing lead in the second and Toronto’s Ben Van Waterschoot scored his second goal and the winner
at 13:28 of overtime.
Scoring for Trenton were Lucas Robinson and Mitch Lafay.
The Golden Hawks can win the series Thursday night in Toronto at Scotiabank Pond. The puck drops at 7:45.

In Jr. C playoff action. Home ice continues to be friendly in the best of 7 between the Picton Pirates and Amherstview Jets. Tuesday night in Picton the Pirates prevailed 2 to 1 and the series is now tied at 2 games apiece. Game 5 is Thursday night in Amherstview starting at 6:30.
Meanwhile the Port Hope Panthers can end their series with the Napanee Raiders with a win tonight (Wednesday) at the Strathcona Paper Centre.
Port Hope is up 3 games 1 and the puck drops at 7:30.
