Belleville police responded to 215 calls for service between March 24, 2023 at 5 a.m. and March 27, 2023 at 5 a.m.
Warrants
On March 24, 2023, Belleville police located a female on outstanding warrants in the city’s downtown area. Police arrested her without incident. The 31-year-old female of no fixed address was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to attend for fingerprints and was held for a bail hearing.
Domestic Assault
On March 25, 2023, Belleville police were called downtown to assist an ambulance with an injured female. Police arrived and determined the female’s injuries were the result of a domestic assault that had occurred. Upon further investigation, police arrested a 39-year-old Belleville resident for assault causing bodily harm. He was later released on an undertaking with an April court date.
Breach of Undertaking
On March 26, 2023 at approximately 6:44 p.m., police received a call for a disturbance in the Bleecker Avenue and Station Street area. Upon arrival, police spoke to several parties and ascertained who the main culprit was. Further investigation led to the arrest of 20-year-old Christian Laffan of Belleville for breach of undertaking. He was later released on an undertaking with a court date in April 2023.
