Lennox and Addington OPP have confirmed that one person has died following a three-vehicle collision on the 401 near the exits of County Road 49 and Shannonville Road.
Two transport trucks and a passenger vehicle were involved in the collision.
Another person was sent to hospital with serious injuries.
The OPP Technical Investigators and Collision Reconstructionist are helping with the ongoing investigation.
As of 12:51 p.m on Thursday, the right lane on the westbound lanes of the 401 was open but the left hand land as well as all the eastbound lanes were closed.
