The Belleville Bulls have been gone for eight years but this weekend memories of the Ontario Hockey League team will be many.
The AHL’s Belleville Senators will recognize the legacy of the Bulls Saturday night when they host the Milwaukee Admirals at CAA Arena.
The B-Sens will wear Bulls specialty jerseys. They will also welcome back many Belleville Bulls alumni. (See list below)
The Bulls joined the OHL in 1981 as an expansion team and played out of the Yardmen Arena for the next 34 years.
The team was sold in March of 2015 and moved to Hamilton to become the Bulldogs.
However, due to major renovations at First Ontario Centre, the team will relocate to Brantford for at least the next three seasons.
Brantford City Council hopes the move will become permanent and are prepared to build a new arena to house the team.
