A new housing development is being proposed on the west side of Brighton.
At a meeting Monday Brighton’s planning committee will invite public comment on a medium-sized subdivision off Ontario Street.
What’s being called the Westgate Subdivision would be built on 5.29 hectares and consist of 21 single detached homes, 28 semi-detached dwellings, and four six-plex buildings for a total of 73 units.
A house and a garage currently stand on the property with the rest being used for agricultural purposes.
Brighton’s planning meeting starts at 6:30 in council chambers.
