The Belleville Senators have jumped into an AHL playoff spot and it came in dramatic fashion.
Defenceman Lassi Thomson scored with 13 seconds left in regulation to break a three all tie and send the B-Sens to a 4-3 win over the visiting Utica Comets.
Cole Cassels assisted on all four Belleville goals to push the Sens one point past Laval into fifth place in the North Division with 12 games left in the regular season. The Rocket fell 2-0 to the Rochester Americans.
Although in fifth place, Belleville is just seven points behind the second place Comets.
Jake Luccini (15) Jacob Bernard Docker (second) and Roby Jarventie (12) also scored for Belleville.
Goaltender Dylan Ferguson turned aside 26 shots.
Belleville is on the road this weekend for two games in Cleveland against the Monsters (Columbus Blue Jackets).
