If the Wellington Dukes were thinking sweep when they faced the Buzzers at St. Michael’s Tuesday night those thoughts were put to bed early.
St. Mike’s goaltender Jacob Gorinsky faced and stopped 48 shots while getting plenty of help at the other end in an 8-0 rout of the Dukes forcing Game 5.
St. Mike’s scored on four of their first 19 shots to chase Wellington goaltender Ethan Morrow early in the second period.
Brandon Cohen led the Buzzers with two goals.
The Dukes still hold a 3-1 lead in their best of seven OJHL series with Game 5 Friday night at 7:30 at Lehigh Arena.
The Trenton Golden Hawks host the Cobourg Cougars Wednesday night at 7:30 at the Dunc McDonald Community Gardens. Trenton leads the best of 7 series 2-0.

Shutouts were the order of the night in Junior C playoffs as well.
Zac Brooks scored at 1:39 of the first period and that would be the only goal Picton would need while shutting out the Campbellford Rebels 2-0.
Brady Spry stopped 35 shots for the shutout. That gives the Pirates a four-game sweep.
Picton will play the Amherstview Jets in round two.

In Frankford, Sam Dingle turned in a 30-save night to backstop Port Hope to a 4-0 win over the Huskies.
Isaac Langdon had a goal and two assists as the Panthers take a 3-1 lead in that series and host Frankford in Game 5 Wednesday night.
The winner of this series will meet the first place Napanee Raiders in round 2.
